Centrifugal Mist
Collectors
Screw machines, CNC lathes,
chuckers, and bar machines produce mist and smoke. Mist
Collectors remove, trap, and reclaim submicronic contaminants from
the plant atmosphere—right at the source!
Aer Control Mist Collectors
operate on the principle of centrifugal separation of sub-micron
particles. A perforated, rapidly spinning drum traps and retains
captivated mist until it's grown to droplet size. Centrifugal force
throws the droplets free of the perforated drum to the inner wall of
the casing. High velocity air drives the liquefied oil along the
walls and through the circumferential slot into a collection
chamber. Clean air returns to the plant environment, by way of the
exhaust grill, and the clean, recycled oil drains from the unit for
reuse or disposal.
Designed to source-capture air
pollutants, choose a Mist Collector if you need a compact unit to
mount directly to a machine and when the contaminants are usually
just mist and smoke. Directly mounted units eliminate unsightly
ductwork, venting outdoors, and the high cost of make-up air. Housed
in a sturdy, 16-gauge steel encasement, Aercology Mist Collectors
stand up to tough, industrial environments. Units weigh from only 70
to 125 lbs. and operate from only 70 to 74 dBA. CFM capabilities
range from 100 to 1000. Standard features include a coated,
perforated rotating drum, large collection chamber, and advanced
drain system. Maintenance is easy—just replace the inexpensive
throwaway liner.
Standard Mist
Collectors deliver a particulate efficiency of 98% at 1.0 micron.
When equipped with an optional HEPA filter, efficiency is 99.97% at
0.3 microns. Mist Collectors are available with high
performance in-cover or in-line prefilters for removal of swarf and
large chips and in-cover impingers for applications with heavy
concentratnions of fine mist.
